Our primary consideration at Friends Early Learning Center (formerly Quaker Care Day Care Center) is the growth and well-being of each child. We believe in providing an environment where our Infant, Toddler, and Preschool children are respected and valued for their contributions to the learning process.
Our educated, caring and enthusiastic teachers are valued for their knowledge and commitment to working with young children. Our teachers take into account the individuality of each child and are attentive to specific strengths and needs of the children in their class. We also welcome and encourage parent participation in activities such as field trips, class parties, special breakfasts, a Christmas program, and Friends ELC family picnics. We also welcome breastfeeding mothers and have a private room where they can feed their baby onsite.
Each day, children are invited to participate in a wide variety of discovery and play based activities that are developmentally appropriate. We believe that through play, children experience the joy of discovery and learning for themselves. In addition to small motor skill activities, large motor skill play activities are scheduled each day with the indoor playground used when the weather is not suitable to go to the outdoor playground. As part of the tuition, your toddler and preschoolers a hot lunch and two snacks daily with a focus on encompassing all food groups.
Friends ELC provides a year-round program with enrollment a continuous process based on availability. Typically, we have waiting lists in our younger classrooms so don’t wait to call and come tour our facility and get on the waiting list for when/if there is an opening.
When a child’s journey at Friends ELC is complete, we feel confident that they will take with them a strong foundation, which includes a positive concept of self and school, along with a love for learning.
